it’s your mistake- Bill Gates
Known for his generosity, 4th richest person in the world, founder and former CEO of Microsoft, genius, self-made millionaire, philanthropist, and author of many wonderful books, today we will learn some valuable lessons from the life of bill gates and try to understand how he became successful, what was his success secret. There are three rules that he follows for reading:
Lesson number 1: He reads a lot of books
Bill Gates was born in Seattle, Washington, the United States on October 28, 1955. He was very intelligent and talented since childhood. He used to read a lot of books since childhood, he used to study for 15-16 hours. Bill said that because of this habit, his parents began to think of him as a bookworm, and they were so worried that they had to make a 'read nothing at dinner table' rule. But bill's love of reading was never-ending and even today he publishes a list of his favorite books every year. Reading is a good habit. It enhances our knowledge and brings a positive change in our thoughts.
- Gates suggests setting aside at least an hour at a time for serious reading.
- Gates explains that he avoids starting any book that he can't see through to the end and he makes sure that he finishes every book he reads.
- Gates always make notes in the margins.
So, His parents got him admitted to Lakeside School (the only school in that area with computers). While studying at Lakeside School bill developed an interest in computers and he started spending more and more time with the computer. Bill had a good command of programming and at the tender of 13, he created software known as "Tic-Tac-Toe". After this, Bill Gates was constantly involved in programming on his school computer. When he reached high school, he had computerized the school's payroll system.
At the same time, at school, Bill met Paul Allen, who was a senior, due to Paul's interest in computer science, the two became good friends. Bill with his friend, created a "Traf-O-Data" program that worked on traffic patterns and tried to improve them. Bill received $ 20,000 to make this program, and this was his first earning.
In 1973, Bill completed his schooling and then after that, he took admission to Howard College. Even during his college days, Bill Gates used to spend most of his time with computers, then after that, he decided to leave college and do business with his friend Alan.
