WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE ?
Life is a beautiful journey that is meant to be embraced to the fullest every day. But that is not possible in real life, is it? We all our running like rats for the whole day and never get a moment to zoom out and see what are we doing. We need to understand that our life as a is a gift and we should be thankful for it. Just imagine the life of your pet for a day, they can’t express themselves neither they have a mind like us to think. So, our life as human is important that is for sure. According to Hindu Vedas and Puranas you get a human birth after living the lives of 8,400,000 other species. And science proves that after a lot of evolution humans took birth. This means that life is important. So from now on stop thinking that your life is a waste and add a flavor to your life by giving it a purpose.
What is the purpose of life?
What is the purpose of life? We all tried to find the answer of this question since ancient times. Some people tried to find the answer of this question in holy books, by meditating or in science. Still we fail to answer this question. And there is one day in our life where we think that what the hell is the purpose of my life? Well today I am going to help you find it. But first we need to understand the difference between purpose and goals.
Difference between purpose and goals:
Many a time’s people confuse
purpose with goals. Goals are achievable but you cannot say that you achieved
the purpose of your life. Let’s take an example – a kid say’s that he wants to
become a doctor. This is his goal.
Another kid says that he wants to be happy and make others happy. This is
purpose. The kid who wanted to become a doctor becomes one, now what after it?
Goal have an end, purpose don’t. and that is the reason finding the purpose is
important and for some people finding the purpose life is their purpose.
Purpose Of Life by Religion:
Generally, religions have in common two most
important teachings regarding the meaning of life:
1) the ethic of the reciprocity of love among
fellow humans for the purpose of uniting with a Supreme
Being, the provider of that ethic
2) spiritual formation towards an afterlife or
eternal life as a continuation of physical life.
Purpose Of Life by Science:
Natural scientists look for the purpose of life within
the structure and function of life itself. This question also falls upon social
scientists to answer. They attempt to do so by studying and explaining the
behaviours and interactions of human beings (and every other type of animal as
well). Again, science is limited to the search for elements that promote the
purpose of a specific life form (individuals and societies), but these findings
can only be suggestive when it comes to the overall purpose and meaning.
What do I have to say:
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It
is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some
difference that you have lived and lived well. The purpose of life is
to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without
fear for newer and richer experience. You only live once, but if you do it
right, once is enough. And not how long, but how well you have lived is
the main thing.
