Project: Artificial Voice

Overview

Artificial Voice is an innovative project designed by Arjun Pandit, a 16-year-old student from St. Francis School in Ghaziabad, UP. This technology aims to transform the lives of mute individuals by providing them with a more personal and emotionally expressive means of communication.

Key Features

  • Empowerment & Upliftment: This device empowers mute individuals, enhancing their ability to communicate effectively and reducing their dependency on others.
  • Safety & Support: Equipped with mood sensors and AI algorithms, the device can detect nerve impulses, analyze emotions, and call for help during emergencies.
  • Societal Impact: Artificial Voice aims to challenge societal perceptions of disability, fostering a more compassionate, equitable, and inclusive society.
  • Commercial Viability: The project is designed to be scalable and user-friendly, ensuring its feasibility for widespread adoption.

Technology & Functionality

  1. Mood Detection: Sensors detect nerve impulses, and AI algorithms interpret the user's mood.
  2. Emotion Analysis: The system stores and analyzes mood patterns, correlating them with spoken words to provide suggestions.
  3. Emergency Response: In case of danger, the device can automatically call for help.
  4. Voice Modulation: AI algorithms modulate the text-to-speech (TTS) voice to match the user's emotions.

Recognition & Awards

  • INSPIRE MANAK Awards: Selected at the state level, showcasing the project's innovation and impact.(2022-23)
  • Vivo Ignite Tech for Good Competition: Achieved the distinction of being a national finalist, ranking in the top 10 out of 19,000 students. Arjun Pandit received a cash prize of ₹25,000 for his outstanding work.(2023-24)
  • IIT ROORKEE : In consideration for startup and incubation at ihub Divyasampark IIT ROORKEE

Future Prospects

Artificial Voice holds significant potential for further development, including:

  • Enhanced Accuracy: Incorporating EEG sensors to improve mood detection accuracy.
  • User Customization: Adapting the voice output to match different ages, dialects, and accents.
  • Broader Applications: Extending benefits to additional user groups such as the elderly, children, and heart patients.

Conclusion

Artificial Voice is not just a technological advancement but a beacon of hope for mute individuals, promoting a world where diversity is embraced and every individual is empowered to thrive.
